Looks Loved: JANUARY 2014

Outfits that have brightened up dreary January:

Love this matching skirt and top from Camilla and Marc. The juicy orange colour really compliments Sarah Hyland's skintone, and I love how she has kept the rest simple with a top knot, contrasting snakeskin clutch and simple strappy sandals.

Kayla Hadlington from her blog of the same name manages to mix vintage and highstreet for a look that is always unique yet super stylish. Love the reds here, and the planet sweatshirt is so cute!

How cute is Kiernan Shipka here? I love this peach Prada dress with those black sandals and slightly messy hair. I think she is dressing age-appropriately for her age without being boring.

Last but not least is Audrey from Frassy rocking triple spots. In theory, this looks sounds horrible and quite cartoonish, but due to the simple colour palette and clean accessories it looks amazing.

Do you rate these January looks?

Arm Candy: My Favourite Bracelets

Stacking bracelets have been a blogger fave for years, particularly with a boyfriend watch. These are my top 5 bracelets to stack.

1. This lion is from ASOS, I got it for my birthday from my friend Hayley. I am a total sucker for anything with a big cat on, and I love that it's a skinny bracelet as the rest are fairly chunky. Sadly it is now going a bit bronze.

2. This was my mum's when she was younger, the clasp is a bit broken so I have to keep it together with a safety pin, but I love it nonetheless!

3. This beaut is from Marc Jacobs- I got it from my friends at work when I left my last job. I was totally surprised and happy when I received it as I never expected it and it's so me! I miss those girls. Here's the bracelet in its full glory:

4. This spike bracelet is from Topshop, I think every blogger and their mum has got this bracelet- especially along with a chunky boyfriend watch! I remember I was so obssessed with this bracelet when I first got it, I bought about  5 of them so I could replace them easily as they were constantly sold out. Now they are super easy to get hold of.

5. My watch is from River Island, and is obviously a complete copy of a Michael Kors one. I kinda wish it wasn't such an obvious dupe, but it was hard to find an affordable chunky watch that wasn't. Sadly the clasp has broken so I have to keep it done up with sellotape. Yep that's right, sellotape.

I really do need a new one, but funds are low at the moment, and because I like to wear a watch everyday I don't have much choice. I would very much like to replace it with this one:

I love the simplicity, the white, the chunkiness. I'm normally not a diamante lover but I even love them. It just looks so fresh and crisp! If anybody is feeling generous, it's only £185 from ASOS

OOTD: The White Pepper

Dress The White Pepper
Jacket Internacionale
Necklace Primark
Bag Primark
Boots Cheap Monday
Socks Topman

I got this dress in a sample sale from The White Pepper before Christmas for £20. What a steal, I thought to myself. I am such a fan of The White Pepper, even though smock dresses have now become more of a trend and are everywhere, theirs are totally the best! One tip if you're planning to purchase one though, I would recommend hand washing it, as they do tend to shrink in the wash ever so slightly.

I also debuted my Cheap Monday boots which I heart. My boyf bought them for me for Christmas in a size 6 (they had no fives and the sales assistant told him they came up small-lies!), but sadly they were way too big. I wanted to swap them for a five but they were sold out EVERYWHERE, so I tried on a size 4 and luckily they fit perfectly. I think my feet have shrunk!

Happy hump-day everyone!

REVIEW: Misstella

When Misstella contacted me and asked me to review one of their items, I must admit I had never heard of the brand before. However, once I had a look on the website I was spoilt for choice! I was particularly impressed by the bag/purse section, and in the end chose this little beauty:

As a lot of you will know, this is an amazing dupe for the Valentino Rockstud Shopper. Now, I am a long time fan of the Rockstud collection, and as I have no hope of owning any of it in the near future, this is perfect.

It comes in a good quality and sturdy looking black faux leather, with gold studding detail.

It comes with a detachable strap so that the bag can also be worn as a shoulder bag.

The bag comes with both a clasp on the front and an inside zip so your precious stuff will be extra safe, plus there's a handy inside zip for anything you need to find quickly.

This could not have come at a better time for me as my beloved Romwe bag has just broken, and I am in need of a new black bag that goes with everything. I am totally in love with this, and the best part is that if you wanted to grab one of these bad boys for yourself, you would only be parting with £28.80, plus shipping is currently free to the United Kingdom.

You can find Mistella's webshop here. Check them out on PinterestTwitterFacebook and Google+.

Happy Shopping!

OOTD: Leopard and Snake

Coat Next
Jumper Zara
Jeans Topshop
Shoes Topshop (in case you weren't sure-haha)
Bag Primark

I went shopping last weekend with two of my friends, and I thought I'd treat myself to some new garms. I used some of my Topshop gift cards to purchase these slip on trainers- I am in love with them. So Celine daaaaaaaaaahling. Plus they were only £20! Win. I also bought this Zara roll neck- I've been wanting a black roll neck for a while now, and as this was also only £20 I snapped it up. I've cracked this Primark satchel out again after leaving it in hibernation for most of the winter as I thought it brightened up this look. I love it but it does photograph horribly.

We went to The Breakfast Club in Soho for lunch, and had to queue for about 35 minutes. I've never queued that long get into a restaurant before- I felt so London. Ha. It was pretty delicious though, I had the Veggie All American and was suitably stuffed. So long January detox!

Fashion Strikes Event

On Thursday me and my friend Rachel attended the Fashion Strikes/Holley Potts blogger event, held at the Fashion Strikes studios in West Norwood. It was a great chance to meet the ladies behind Fashion Strikes, which is a new social media website for bloggers, designers, photographers, stylists, MUAs and fashion fans! It launches soon, so sign up now to request an invite to join the network. The idea of the event was to showcase designer/illustrator Holley Potts' latest collection-found out more about her here.

This was Holley's collection- it was based on drugs, specifically the highs and lows, hence the bright yellow/coral/grey colour palette. I loved the collection, the marl grey jersey mixed with the silk looked cool and sporty, and the prints were beaut. You could totally see the inspiration behind it in the clothes! These were my favourite pieces:

Fashion Strikes founder Angela looking cute in the stripe jumper.

Blogger Siana from Siana Westley rocking a printed jersey dress.

The designer herself, Holley Potts-she had an amazing dark red lip colour on!

Absolutely loving these Isabel Marant x H&M leggings sported by a blogger from Miilou. I bought some black sequinned leggings from H&M about a year ago for £10 in the sale but took them back because I wasn't sure. I regret it to this day! Hisssss.

I came straight from work so wore my Ted Baker blazer with a white shirt stolen from my boyfriend and this super cute bow brooch from Topshop. I am quite the fan of this brooch, I got it in the sale and I think it really compliments the green on the blazer. I also wore my new Cheap Monday boots and old faithful Topshop coated black Leigh jeans.

I had a fun evening, met some lovely people and I'm glad I braved the freezing cold, hour long journey to attend. I'm excited to see the launch of Fashion Strikes!

What I got for Christmas 2013

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a cracking new year- I sure did. This year I didn't get a big present from the parents as they've gave  lent me a lot of money this year, so I mainly got bits and bobs in my stocking.

I've been watching a lot of 'What I got for Christmas' YouTube videos and I've realised what a lot of people consider stocking fillers would be my main present! I'm always super grateful for any presents I get though, and I always feel lucky coming back to London with a bag of goodies.

These are my favourites:

Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille Hand Creme

I received this from my boyfriend's sister and her husband. Anything from the Laura Mercier body and bath range smells absolutely amazing, and this is no exception. I can't wait for my hands to smell like cake mix!

Burt's Bees Pampered Hand Collection

I got this box in my stocking-anything Burt's Bees is an excellent present in my book. I'm obsessed with their lipbalm, and the almond and milk handcream smells delicious! My hands are defs going to be smelling and looking good this winter.

Black Topshop pom pom scarf

This was another stocking gift, I've been wanting a plain black scarf to go with my leopard print coat, and I think the pom poms on this one make it look super cute.

Models Own nail polishes

Two of my friends got me a huge bag of goodies, including these three nail polishes from Model's Own. I love all three colours and don't have any of them, which is surprising as I'm so obsessed with the brand! I used the burgundy glitter straight away for some festive nail art:

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo

I first used this product last year (my review is here) and loved it, but for some bizarre reason never repurchased. Since I've started using it on Christmas day I can already see a difference. I would highly recommend this serum for anyone with skin prone to breakouts.

MAC lipstick in Russian Red

Me and my sister set ourselves a £15 limit for presents, and this is what she got me. I'm sure everyone knows Russian Red, it's probably MAC's most famous lipstick. For those that don't, it's a gorgeous matte red colour which suits most skin tones.

Cheap Monday Layer Hide boots

I was soooo happy when I opened these boots from my boyfriend on Christmas day! I've had my eye on them for ages (I even wrote about them here) but I never thought I'd actually get them. Cannot wait to wear these bad boys with everything I own.

Boux Avenue PJs

Last but not least are these adorable Pyjamas, also from my boyfriend. I love these far more than I expected- putting these on in the evening, making a peppermint tea and watching a film with the fairy lights on and candles lit just feels so cosy.

I hope everyone got what they wanted for Christmas, and happy new year!
