Weekend OOTD

   Top Topshop
   Skirt Internacionale
   Jacket Internacionale
   Hat H&M
   Bag The Cambridge Satchel Company
   Boots River Island

Super important news for the world: I got a new job, Rejoice! It is at Ted Baker-how exciting!

In other, some might say just as fascinating, news-I purchased a hat. I have wanted a new smartish hat ever since I left my Topshop bowler hat in a taxi before I had even worn it. I spied this little beauty in H&M with my sister and it was only £12.99. What a barg. I took it for an outing this weekend, it was quite windy and I looked like a div as I tried to hold it on.  Ho hum.

Happy Monday!

Autumn Wishlist

1.River Island
2. Primark
3. Topshop
4. Office
5. Primark
6. Next

1. I got a brown faux fur stole from H&M last year and wore it loads- I love this River Island one as it will go with everything and looks more expensive than it is!

2. This PU skirt from Primark will look cute with both fluffy jumpers for work or a camisole for nights out.

3. I want a beanie so I can pin a cameo brooch to it, like this one from River Island, which I believe is a dupe of the Silver Spoon ones.

4. When I went to the shoot I blogged about here, the stylist (who was a stylist at Company magazine-jel!) had on some really nice chunky heeled chelsea boots. I love these office ones, which I can no longer find on the website sadly.

5. I'm loving all the tartan kilts about at the moment. I do like this Primark version (without the tacky pin) as I don't want to spend too much due to it being a very of the moment item, however I think I would prefer a more subtle navy version, like this, as worn by Victoria Beckham.

6. I've loved this coat which I first saw on Camilla about 2 months ago. I did go into Next and try it on, but I wasn't 100% sure. I just keep looking at it though, so I think I might go back again! It's not too expensive either.

What's on your wishlist this Autumn?

Style Icons: Lily Collins

L:ily Collins has been on my radar for a while, and I felt compelled to include her in my Style Icons series because lately I've found myself coveting her looks even more than usual- I think she is totally current and has the best stylist/hair and make up team around.

I love the way Lily rocks a dress, whether it be a floor length Valentino number or a Marchesa cocktail dress, she always manages to look age-appropriate yet both cute and sexy. I'm a big believer that hair and make-up can completely make the simplest outfit special, and she executes this perfectly. Also, I couldn't possibly write this post without mentioning her eyebrows- I'm sure Cara must have modelled her own on Lily's!

The actress tends to favour 3 key looks for the red carpet-show stopping dresses, skirt and top combos and crop tops. Her colour palette is mostly black and gold with the occasional pop of colour, and she wears a lot of up-and-coming designers as well as favouring established ones like Valentino and Dolce and Gabbana. Here are my favourite looks:

Public Appearances

Hair and Make-up

Lily is probably my hair and beauty icon- she mixes up her make-up yet always gets it right, and I appreciate the fact that she embraces her pale skin as I think it allows her to stand out. She always looks fresh and ethereal and just very, very pretty!

I look forward to seeing more of her red carpet wonders!

The Cutest Topshop Shoes Ever!

I ventured into Topshop the other day to exchange some trousers, when I came across the cutest shoes you will ever see. They are black and patent and have bows on. They remind me of vintage shoes, like shoes you would see Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz wearing when she's a bit bored of red glitter. They are just so darn cute. Stop saying cute. CUTE.

Jacket Primark
Jumper Was my Dad's
Shirt Uniqlo
Jeans Topshop JONI
Bag Primark
Necklace Primark

They make me want to do this:

They are called 'Mystery' and if you like them too you can purchase them here for the bargainous price of £24!

Looks Loved: September

I can't believe we are in the last quarter of 2013! September is probably the most fashion-y  month of the year, what with fashion week and all the September issues. Behold my faves (pics from Google unless otherwise specified):

A frequent face of this feature (alliteration!), is Blair from Atlantic Pacific looking mega cool in this shiny and mermaid-like ensemble. Loving the unexpected neon pop from the shoes, she makes them look the opposite of tacky!

I'm hearting this outfit from Milkteef as I love how she's used the hat to bring it from just nice to wow. Also really feeling the lace detail top, need to get me one of those.

What's not to love about this beaut of a skirt by Chloe- so frothy I want to cry! Appreciating the monochrome and the fact that Olivia has dressed it down with the long sleeved jersey, making it look cool instead of overly girly.

I enjoy the muted colour palette of this outfit, the mix of textures, the delicate jewellery and the undone hair. Basically I love it all-and it's Topshop. Go Laura Whitmore! Pic from the amazing  Red Carpet Fashion Awards.

I imagine this look would divide opinions, personally I'm a fan, but I can see how some would find it maybe cheap looking. I love a bit of tack though, and I think Nicole pulls this Balmain dress off because she's kept it super simple and used her banging tan to accessorize.

This is my absolute absolute favourite of the month, that dress is stunning and I love the dark lips and plain black pumps. YES Selena Gomez you are looking fierce- Tyra Banks would be proud.

I enjoy writing the commentary on these pics cos I feel like i'm writing for Grazia. I'm lame cool right?

What do you think of these looks? Yay or Nay?
