OOTD- Summer Rooftop

Shirt New Look
Shorts H&M
Shoes Zara
Bag Cambridge Satchel Company
Sunglasses New Look
Chain Antiques fair

So we discovered recently that we can get out of a window in our building and onto roof, which is amazing for summer as we have no garden. Today I spent a very lazy day going to Holland Park and then browsing Whole Foods and wishing I could do my weekly shop there. Instead I just bought 2 Nakd 'crunch' bars, which are most delicious I must say. I think I'm starting to break in my Zara sandals as the pain is reducing with each wear, hooray!

OOTD: Hen Party

Dress Charity Shop (taken up by my mum)
Sandals Zara
Jacket Primark
Bag Cambridge Satchel Company
Necklace Forever 21
Rings YSL/H&M

Sorry for the slightly crap quality of these photos, my boyf took them quickly as I was heading out the door to go to a hen do on Saturday, hence them featuring both a cat and a child. The cute little urchin is my boyfriend's nephew who he was looking after whilst his sister moved house. He is adorbs!

So my Zara sandals came and visually they were everything I hoped and more. However, they were SO UNCOMFORTABLE. I mean wearing a new pair of extremely strappy sandals to walk around London from 11am to 3am is the best way to wear shoes in right? Haha, I suppose I've only really got myself to blame. I've got so many blisters, but I won't give up.

The hen party itself was lots of fun, we did champagne glass decorating (I went for the more is more look), went for a delicious Greek meal (where my friend Hayley sat in some chewing gum and I used my quick-thinking managerial skills to remove it with some antibacterial hand gel) and then got down to some 80s V 90s tunes at the Jazz Cafe. If I had one complaint it would be way too much Bon Jovi, nowhere near enough *NSYNC. However I did purchase 2 drinks for £4.80. £4.80! Both myself and the barman thought he had made a mistake but apparently vodka, soda and lime is ridiculously cheap. Top tip for you there.

I hope everyone had a fun filled weekend :)

Paisley Nails

I've been getting a bit boring with nails recently-I felt I was repeating the same designs so I wanted to experiment and try something I haven't before. I've wanted to try paisley nails ever since I saw this picture on the Wah Nails! tumblr.

I loved the electric blue paired with the white, but I don't have a blue nail art pen so I just thought I'd reverse it:

I'm quite proud of them. Being right handed, the left hand is much neater than the right, but I'm still pleased at how the right hand turned out, as it was the most fiddly nail art I've ever tried.

I used the Model's Own nail art pen in White and Miss Sporty in Pop Art.

I've got the nail art bug again now, I can't wait to experiment more!

Playsuit Primark
Shoes Topshop
Jacket Primark
Bag Cambridge Satchel company
Rings H&M

On Saturday the weather was delightfully warm and sunny, so I thought i'd get my pale legs out for everyone to enjoy. I also took the opportunity to sport my new (ish) Primark playsuit. I feel this outfit is missing a certain something, I think it needs either a belt or a necklace, but I don't think anything I had looked right, ya know? So I took Coco Chanel's advice and took off the accessories.

I'm just happy it's finally warm.

3.1 Philip Lim Appreciation Society

Philip Lim is definitely one of my favourite designers (along with Alexander Wang, Chanel and Proenza Schouler, to name but a few others) and the 3.1 Philip Lim SS13 collection did not disappoint:

I love the simplicity, I love the use of florals, PVC and checks, but most of all I love those SHOES. The chunkiness, the gladiator-ness, the cut out details, it all makes me very happy.

Yesterday I saw a girl walk past me at the tube station wearing similar sandals and in that moment I knew they must be mine!

I had an inkling they were from Zara, and turns out I was right:

So of course today was spent mostly going to/calling various Zaras in London attempting to track them down, but it seems they are sold out everywhere in store. Luckily they still had them online so they are winging there way to me as we speak (maybe not as we speak as it's Sunday but SOON).

I can't wait to get them, I hope they look as beauteous on as they do off!
