OOTD: Wintery

This is the outfit I wore to work yesterday:

Coat Topshop
Furry headband New Look
Boots River Island
Pinafore Miss Selfridge
Shirt Uniqlo
Bag Romwe
Watch River Island
Collar brooches Ebay

I bought these two brooches from Ebay, after seeing them on Kelly's blog (which I LOVE, her style is so unique, she always looks so cute and put-together. Plus her make up is flawless). I think they are so cute, and are a bit different to all the studded collars around right now. I am a bit of a sucker for anything with an animal on too.

Also, a second attempt at galaxy nails:-

I think my first attempt was better...A few people asked for a tutorial when I posted my last ones so I might do one in the future.

Hope everyone is having a great start to their week :)

OOTD: Natural History Museum

My parents have come to London this weekend, so we went for lunch and to the Natural History Museum. We wanted to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition but it was sold out as we got there quite late :( So we just mooched about the museum for a bit, mainly in the Minerals section, I do love a good gemstone).

Here is what I wore:

Coat Fred Perry (boyfriend's)
Jumper Tosphop
Shirt Uniqlo
Necklace Primark
Jeans Topshop
Brogues Matalan
Bag Romwe

The necklace was a new purchase yesterday, I am going to do a blog post on what I have recently been buying so will include a better photo then. I like the contrast between the OTT sparkly necklace and grungy parka.

Also, these are the nails I have been sporting this week:

I am finding it very difficult to take OOTD photos now it is getting dark so quickly. I leave too early in the morning to take any (my photographer/boyfriend) is still in bed, and it's too dark when I get home. Blogger problems!

P.S. The lovely Arash has featured me on the 'Street Style' section of his blog. Have a look. (Yes I've got the same jumper/shirt combo on haha)

New Wall Art and Zevs

This amazing thing now adorns the wall above this very computer I am typing on right now:

I just love it! I did not know this but according to my boyfriend (who bought it for me :)), apparently the drippy 'Chanel' design is based on artwork by 'Zevs' who makes 'liquidated logos'.

This is his original 'Chanel' design:

Other brand logos have also been 'liquidated':

All photos from the artist's website

Wikipedia (that most reliable source) says Zevs is an anonymous street artist from Paris and started producing these liquidated logos in the mid 00s. I love his simple but eye-catching idea. And I LOVE my new wall art. Hooray!

Style Icons: Miranda Kerr

So, aaaggesss ago I did a post about The Olsen Twins and how much I love their style. I said I was going to make it into a series but never actually did so I thought I would bring it back. This time, my icon of choice is Miranda Kerr.

I think she is a perfect example of keeping it simple yet still looking amazing. Although it helps having flawless skin, a banging body and supermodel height, she has a certain polish which brings all of her looks together. Here are my fave Miranda outfits:

I think I covet her style so much because loves the same basics as me: chiffon shirts, blazers and leather shorts/trousers. She has a knack for working separates and making them look fresh an up-to-date yet still classic.

I wish I was as groomed and effortless as Miranda Kerr!
